28 Years

For those of you who may not know, this is my first time posting on this Blog. This has normally been Rachel's hobby not mine. So, for those of you who enjoy her style or personality coming through.... I apologize in advance.

Today marks 28 years of marriage for 2 incredible people, my parents. I am sure that I have not always shown them the appreciation that I should. That does not mean that they do not deserve it.

I now have two sons of my own, and this adds immensely to the appreciation, admiration, and respect that I have for my Mom and Dad. I do not know anyone who models the kindness, love, responsibility, and forgiveness that I want my sons to see and emulate better than they do. I can only hope that I can show my sons the qualities that my parents have shown me.

This does not mean that they are "perfect" people. I have also witnessed in them the reverse gear that imperfect people sometimes need. I have rarely found them to be wrong, but I know that their Christianity is greater than their egos. This too I hope to model for my sons.

I find it far too easy to get caught up in life and forget important milestones. This, however, is one that I want to point out. I want to express my love and admiration for two of the most important people in my life, David and Twila Drummond.

Finally!

We finally got a computer with Internet working again!!! Yeah!!! I mentioned in my last post about having problems with our computer, well I guess it had enough and decided to give up the ghost. My brother in law had been thinking about getting a new computer so he graciously gave us his old one. Then we had trouble with our Internet connection. Sooo finally the piece we needed came today!!!
A lot has happened lately and I will try to get caught up soon hopefully!

4 Years!!!

Today is our fourth wedding Anniversary!!!! My computer decided to crash last night or I would try to post a wedding picture, O well. maybe some other time.
I Love you very much David!!! Thank you for being such a Wonderful Husband and also a wonderful Daddy to our boys!!!

Real Mothers

Real mothers don't eat quiche, they don't have time to make it.
Real mothers know that their kitchen utensils are probably in the sand box.
Real mothers often have sticky floors, filthy ovens, and happy kids.
Real mothers know that dried play dough doesn't come out of shag carpet.
Real mothers don't want to know what the vacuum just sucked up.
Real mothers sometimes ask "why ME?" and get their answer when a little voice says " because I love you best".
Real mothers know that a child's growth is not measured by height or years of grade. It is marked by the progression of Mama to Mommy to Mom.
